To Jesus with love…..

To Jesus on the Feast of His Resurrection

Longing, longing for You
my Beautiful One,
yet not ready for our
Face to face encounter.
I have only just begun
to love You.

This time on earth is
so precious.
Aching for You,
yet delighting in
Seeking
Your Hidden Presence

Weary of suffering,
but treasuring the privilege
of offering it all up to You,
in total trust of
Your Faithfulness
Your Goodness
Your Love.

It seems all I have
to give You.
And what shall I do
when it all comes to an end –
this life in the darkness?

Ah, but I know the answer:
It is to trust again
that You Yourself
will choose
the perfect moment of our meeting,
when all will be prepared
and all will be well.

At last I shall behold
the Beauty
that I have long known

in shadows,
and which has so
enraptured my heart.

To encounter You in Glory
Your Face unveiled at last-
Kneeling in Your splendor
will be
Easter morning eternally.

    • Happy Easter, dear Grace! So grateful you liked the poem, but if you want to read some REAL poetry, please visit my friend Cynthia at themadeyedmonk.blogspot.com. She has such an amazing gift! I hope she publishes her work in a book someday. BTW, did you ever read An Unpetalled Rose by St. Therese? I know I mentioned it to you before, and was going to e-mail it but forgot 😦

  3. Hello, Patricia! So nice to see a friendly blogger stop by my site. This is a lovely piece. I especially love “Easter morning eternally.” You are blessed with a strong and good love. May the Holy Spirit comfort you always, Amy

    • Welcome Amy! So good to see a new friendly face here too! You chose my favorite line as well. I always love anything to do with eternally, unendingly, forevermore, etc. It’s like a new beginning, but one that never ends….happily ever after! Blessings Amy. Thank you for your kind words!

    • He loves you, Simon. I am on Pilgrimage right now to Fatima and Lourdes with my sister. I have been praying to Our Lady for you….before seeing this. You would love the shrines. She is such a loving Mother. Hope you are praying your rosary as she asked si many times. Peace and blessings.

      • You don’t have to post this..Thank you and thank you again so much..I stopped praying for you Patricia, apart from maybe a few odd times i remembered so i am sorry again..Well, i also stopped the Rosary about the time we last emailed i think..Then, i started the Divine Mercy Prayer (which as you know, you can use the Rosary to pray it with) because i could then get through that quicker.
..But then, and i know i probably sound crazier than usual , only yesterday, i wanted to try the Rosary again. I prayed it yesterday and i think that is the first time i tried it again since we last emailed…I need to pray it tonight now too. before midnight,…It’s just gone 11pm as i write this so i have time.

I was angry at you and others too who knew me and felt lonely in the Catholic sense, without Catholics like you around here. I am sorry.

You are so, so lucky going to Lourdes and Fatima. It must be so beautful there.
        Have a great time!

Take care and i will pray for you too.

        Bye,

        Simon

        • Simon, that is Our Lady’s miracle to you. I was praying for you in the adoration chapel at Fatima on the very same day you prayed your rosary again. Our Blessed Mother obtained that grace for you. I remember distinctly how u strongly came to mind during that time in adoration. Yes…very beautiful n holy places. I will continue to pray for you. Our Lady is calling you. Simon, God truly exists and He wants to forgive you and bring u into His Merciful Heart. Please keep praying the chaplet of Divine Mercy. Have to get going now. Pls pray that I can sleep….am so messed up with the time change from the US to here.

          • Patricia,

Thanks for praying for me and praying for me at such a place too, is wonderful. I need to take a look online to see pictures of the chapel.

You take care and i will definitely pray for you, that you can sleep and also of course, for your Migraines to ease…. or go away.

            Bless you and your family.

            Simon

  4. Dear Patricia Your words are just so right and beautiful. Thank you for your posts. Hope you are feeling better.

    • Hi Maryann, what very kind words. Thank you! God bless you for your encouragement. I just returned yesterday from a wonderful pilgrimage to Fatima, Lourdes, Avila and Rome. I hope to post some pictures soon. I got sick while over there, as several in our group were sick. Of course, there is always the time change to adjust to πŸ™‚ I hope to be catching up on my blog soon. Thanks again for your sweet comment. God bless you!
